Am I wrong?
Is this okay?
Today we discovered that the neighbors across the street and down one house carved their dog's name in the newly poured sidewalk in front of our house.
Would you do that? I can understand that they thought it was cute since they saw our next-door neighbor write her name and her dog's name about two feet square in her new cement sidewalk. "Well, we'll just do it , too!" I guess it's cute if it's in front of your own house. I didn't even THINK of carving BooBoo's name in the sidewalk in front of our house. Hmmmmm. Maybe I should consider the neighbor's driveway....

That is so wrong! I would confront them. Makes me think of what Papi would say: "Fools' names, like fools' faces, always appear in public places."
I can't imagine writing my pet's name in the concrete sidewalk in front of my house, much less in front of a neighbor's house you don't really know. How tacky and crass! Isn't this illegal like graffiti? I can imagine a ten-year old doing it, but a grown man? What an idiot!! I can't wait to cover it up with a fresh coat of cement.
And the neighbor Shelly (who wrote her and her little yappy dog's names in her front walkway) may upset potential future buyers of her house (when she tries to sell it), since the pavement in front of her house now reads "Shelly and Georgia"--surely strangers will think two lesbians lived in the house!!
