All About Bette

Last night, we went to see a play at Theatre Three, "All About Bette", which was a one-woman show about who-else, Bette Davis. It had played here last year to great success, so the author re-worked it and Theatre Three gave it another run. The reviews this time have been good and there is talk about it going to Broadway. I'm surprised at that since the play lacks dramatic structure and the ending is very awkward and needs to be thrown out and rewritten. The actress, Morgana Shaw is good and walks that fine line between impersonation and truly acting the person/character. It was a fun night out - something DIFFERENT at last!
